A special meeting of the Board of Education of Kankakee School District No. 111, Kankakee County,
Illinois, was held at 6:30 p.m. in Room 217 at Lincoln Cultural Center, 240 Warren Avenue, Kankakee,
Illinois.

items as presented. Roll Call Vote – Ayes: Archie, Gathing, Johnston, Lightfoot, Shea, and Wells.

Action Items
1. Loan Request
Mr. Grossi explained that as part of the District’s Turf Field construction project, the district needed to
obtain a permit from the Gar Creek Drainage District. Included in the application was the need for a
$10,000 letter of credit from a bank for the purpose of providing an irrevocable letter of credit to the Gar
Creek Drainage District. The District worked with HomeStar Bank to secure the loan and letter.
Approval of this loan request will authorize Mr. Grossi, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services,
to sign all documents related to this loan request and any resulting letter of credit or other documents
related to this transaction on behalf of the Board of Education.
President Wells asked if there were any questions and hearing none, asked for a Roll Call Vote.
Motion was made by Johnston, seconded by Gathing, to approve the loan request as presented. Roll
Call Vote--Ayes: Gathing, Johnston, Lightfoot, Shea, Archie and Wells. Nays: none. Motion carried.
