Public Comments-None
Board Communications- Mr. Stegall thanked the board for a great first year at St. Anne High School. He informed the board that the state does have a budget. The final budget included a state income tax increase from 3.75% to 4.95%. The new budget should increase funding to St. Anne High School by approximately $150,000.00.
Building and Grounds. Mr. Stegall informed the board that Greg Hiser got the tile work completed in the cafeteria but we are still waiting on some additional repairs to be completed. We received an estimate to replace some bricks on the side of the building for $1100.00 from Cambell's Masonery. During the power surges last month most all of our AC units are now not running at full capacity. We have estimates from Holohan's totally over $14,000 for those repairs and will be turning a claim in with the insurance in hopes that ComEd will become responsible.
Mr. Stegall asked the board to approve a new position for groundskeeper for the baseball, softball and soccer field. He feels someone is needed during the seasons to keep the field ready and prepare for games. In addition, they can be responsible for the mowing of those field. This position does not replace the lawn mowing position. The board agreed to allow Mr. Stegall to post the position.
Administrator's Report- Mr. Stegall stated that we received the renewals for the Property Casualty and Worker's Comp insurance renewals. Included in the packet is a three-year comparison of the rates. The insurance recommended coverage for cyber liability which is now included in our coverage. He is recommending the board approve the renewal of those plans. He intends to use Bushue Human Resources to shop our insurance coverage for next year.
