Kankakee Community College wants to help the unemployed find jobs and will host its annual job fair on Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Riverfront campus, 100 College Drive in Kankakee, according to a press release.

Everyone from students to veterans are encouraged to attend the job fair, which begins at 9 a.m. and will bring more than 50 businesses and industries to one location. Attendees can get pre-screened for part- and full-time jobs. A Business Before Hours session begins at 7:30 a.m., and a ribbon-cutting for the Walter "Jack" and Gretchen Charlton KCC Career Services Center follows.

A special area will be set up for manufacturers in honor of National Manufacturing Month.
