A gift from an Olivet Nazarene University alumnus will help expand business education offerings while fulfilling the university’s academic and faith-based missions, according to a news release.
“Today we are naming the Olivet School of Business in honor of alumnus Mick McGraw,” President John Bowling said during a recent dedication ceremony for the McGraw School of Business. “We are also reaffirming our commitment that the school of business, and all of our academic programs, actively integrate faith and learning, believing that all of life is sacred and to be used for God’s glory."
McGraw, the president and CEO of Eastbrook Homes in Grand Rapids, Michigan, graduated with a business administration degree from the school in 1972. He has frequently donated to the university.
Prior to joining the Eastbrook Development Comp. in 1979, McGraw served as vice president of Union Bank & Trust and provided oversight to two of its subsidiaries from 1973 to 1978. He became president of Eastbrook in 1986.
