The village of Bradley is seeking sponsors and floats for its 32nd annual Bradley Christmas Fantasy Parade, which has a theme of “Christmas Through a Child’s Eyes," according to a release from the Village.
The parade is a Kankakee County tradition and is the original lighted Christmas parade. It will take place on at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1, running on Broadway Street.
Sponsors of the parade will have their name posted on the Santa Help board, published in ads and notices and announced during the parade. They will also have the opportunity to judge the floats and help determine who wins the cash prizes. Sponsorships are available in a range of packages.
Those wishing to enter a float in the parade must do so as a business or as a general or service club. All floats in the parade must be lighted, and floats competing for the cash prize will be judged on their use of lights, overall appearance and expression of the theme. High school marching bands taking part in the parade will receive a cash award.
The city is also looking for two children between ages 6 and 10, to be this year’s Miss Merry Christmas and Master Jack Frost, the junior grand marshals of the parade.
