St. Anne Community High School District 302 Board of Education met October 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Mr. Jennings called the regular meeting to order at 7:00p.m.

Motion: To approve the consent agenda, as presented.

Mr. Rick Blanchette presented the FY 16/17 audit report. Mr. Blanchette broke down the revenue's between local, state and federal. He pointed out which funds spent more then received and stated that overall we received more revenue than we spent. The financial score was a 3.55 out of a possible 4. He stated that he did not need to make any adjustments and internal controls are all in place.

Mrs. Kolitwenzew would like to recommend Sunday, May 20th at 2:00 for the 2018 graduation ceremony.

Motion: To approve Sunday May 20, 2018 as the date for graduation. (IAF)

Mr. Stegall is not prepared to present a Tax Levy at this time. He has not yet received an estimated EAV from Iroquois County. He will present the levy at the next meeting.

Mr. Hall has asked to form a Mu Alpha Theta club. It is part of the National Math Honor Society. He is willing to volunteer to run this group.

Motion: To approve creation of a new student organization, Mu Alpha Theta, National Math Honor Society for the 17/18 school year. (RC)

Mr. Stegall stated that a list was shared with the board earlier in the team drive item that are being recommended to be declared surplus equipment. The list includes mostly technology and some weight room items either broken or not used. Some items can be sold, some could be thrown out.

Triple I conference update.The board is staying at the Sheraton. Mr. Stegall passed out the 2017 Resolutions Committee Report to be discussed at the school board convention. The board has been invited Friday night to the Ritz Carlton for dinner with King Financial. The board discussed whether or not they would be able to make it to a 6:00 dinner.
