The Kankakee Community College Continuing Education Department is offering $10 floral design, houseplant and gardening classes.
According to a press release, the Make Your Own Succulent Book Plant class will be held at the West Campus Horticulture Building on Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 6:30-8 p.m.
The facility will also have a Happy Houseplants Workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 10-11:30 a.m. and the Heirloom Tomato Planting Workshop on Wednesday, March 14 from 6:30-8 p.m.
“In Make Your Own Succulent Book Planter, participants will create a table top arrangement in a hard cover book,” according to the release. “The arrangement will feature succulents grown by KCC students in the college greenhouse. Plant selection, proper building techniques, picking the right container and maintenance will be included.”
All classes will meet in room VA03. Holly Froning and Katelynn Ohrt will instruct the classes.
