Kankakee Community College’s Continuing Education Department is offering art and craft classes that will meet once a week on Wednesdays beginning Wednesday, Jan. 31 to Wednesday, April 11.
A Crochet Forum is planned at 1-3 p.m. in Room D212. The cost is $89 and a starter kit is available for an additional $20. Sara Strucinski will be the instructor. No class will be held on March 7.
Also scheduled is Knitting Forum from 3-5 p.m. in Room D212. The cost is also $89 and Strucinski is the instructor. A starter kit is also available for $20.
A drawing class will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., with no class on March 7. It will meet in Room D212 and the cost is $79. Strucinski also is the instructor, and no class will be held March 7.
A one-day mosaic watercolor canvas class is planned on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. in Room D151. The cost is $35, which includes materials, and Amber Gocken is the instructor.
“In mosaic watercolor canvas, participants create a one-of-a-kind piece of art for their homes,” according to a KCC release. “You’ll learn a variety of techniques, including watercolor painting and have a 12-by-12 mosaic canvas to take home.”
