Watseka Park District Board met January 8.

Here is the agenda provided by the Board:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following members present: Rich Moyer, Don Pavlak, Dawn Turcany, Mark Howe and Sherry Johnson, ED.

The board agreed to approve the agenda. 4-0

Approval of Minutes:

The December meeting minutes were reviewed. Mark motioned to accept the minutes as presented, Don seconded. Motion carried 4-0.

Communications/Correspondence/Visitors:

There were no visitors.

Old Business:

No old business to discuss.

New Business:

No new business to discuss.

Committee Reports:

Finance Committee:

Rich reported that the balance in the balance summary is $160,852.29. Mark motioned to accept the financials as presented. Rich seconded. Motion carried 4-0.

Public Works:

No report at this time.

Insurance:

No Report At This Time.

Personnel Committee:

The mandated sexual harassment ordinance required by the State of Illinois and prepared by Attorney Heather Clauss was discussed and reviewed. Rich motioned to accept the ordinance as presented. Ordinance 18-01 was assigned to the Watseka Park District Sexual Harassment Ordinance. Mark seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0.

Building and Grounds:

Information Management:

No report at this time.

President’s Report:

Todd reported that he had a discussion with the Mayor in regards to the pool. The Mayor sent an email out to the schools asking if anyone was interested in running the pool that is in the Unit 9 system. Todd also reported to him that there is no interest from the park district to be involved at this time.

Approval of Bills:

Rich motioned to approve the bills as presented. Don seconded. Motion carried 5-0.

Adjourn:

Don motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Dawn seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
