Village of Bourbonnais Board of Trustees met January 22.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
Call To Order: The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Village President Paul Schore. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Hope Brammer a 3rd grade student from Mrs. Douglas's class at St Paul's Lutheran School.
1. Roll Call: Village Clerk Brian Simeur called the roll with the following Trustees present: Trustee Bruce Greenlee, Trustee Randy King, Trustee Jeff Keast, Trustee Jack Littrell and Trustee Angie Serafini. Also in attendance were Village Treasurer Ron Riebe, Village Attorney Patrick Dunn and Village Administrator Michael Van Mill. Absent was Trustee Rick Fischer.
2. Approval Of Minutes: Motion made by Trustee Greenlee and seconded by Trustee Serafini to suspend the reading and approve the Regular Board Meeting Minutes from January 8, 2018. Motion passed on a voice vote of 5-0.
3. Reports From Commissions And Advisory Boards: None.
4. Bids And Quotes: None.
5. Correspondence: None.
6. Finance Committee:

a.Consideration to Approve Accounts Payable January 22, 2018
Motion made by Trustee Serafini and seconded by Trustee King to approve the bills as presented.
Roll call vote: Trustee Greenlee - Aye Trustee Keast – Aye
Trustee Fischer – Absent Trustee Littrell – Aye
Trustee King – Aye Trustee Serafini - Aye
Motion passed on a vote of 5-0-1.
7. Administration Committee:

a.Ordinance No. 17-2089 (An Ordinance Amending the Municipal Code of the Village of Bourbonnais, Illinois Concerning Residency Requirements.) First Reading
Trustee Serafini noted the following:
•Chocolate Tour tickets have sold out. There are 32 businesses that are participating.
•Dolly Parton's Imagination Library stop in Bourbonnais was a huge success! 72 children signed up for the event.
8. Community & Economic Development: None.

Trustee King reported on the following:
•Public works is cleaning their equipment from the last snow.
•Christmas trees collection program is continuing at the village parks.
•Pothole patch work will happen as weather permits.
11. Utility Committee:
Trustee Jack Littrell, Jr., Chair
Trustee Littrell reported on the following:
•Sewer interceptor work continues on the north end of the line near Burns road and 5000 Rd North.
•Televising of sewer lines is being done in Belle Aire and the crew is looking for inflow and infiltration (1&l) issues.
12. Committee Meetings Set:
Finance - Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 3:30 pm.
The meeting will be held in the Municipal Center Board Room.

a.Resolution No. 18-1293 (A Resolution Appointing Bob Steinke as Building Commissioner)
Motion was made by Trustee Greenlee and seconded by Trustee Littrell to read said resolution by title only. Motion passed on a voice vote of 5-0.
A motion was made by Trustee Greenlee and seconded by Trustee Littrell to adopt said resolution. Prior to vote, Mayor Schore commented on the appointment.

Motion passed on a vote of 5-0-1.
Village President Schore reported on the following:
•Building Commissioner Lindell Altenberger is retiring on January 31, 2018.
•The Community Prayer Breakfast will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at ONU.
•The Village Easter Egg Hunt will also take place on Saturday March 24th.
• Mayor Schore also announced that he is the proud Grandfather to Lincoln
Matthew who was born this morning.

A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee King to adjourn the regular board meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 5-0 and the meeting adjourned at 5:44 p.m.
