Analysis: Bourbonnais pays $2.44 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bourbonnais Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71 percent of the $632,328 the Bourbonnais Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.44 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bourbonnais contributed $448,779 to the fund, which saw a $20,270 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $183,549, or 29 percent, in 2016.
