Analysis: Watseka pays $13.06 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Watseka Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 92.9 percent of the $765,033 the Watseka Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $13.06 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Watseka contributed $710,649 to the fund, which saw a $247,209 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $54,384, or 7.1 percent, in 2016.
