Village of Loda Board met Feb. 14.

The Village of Loda Board of Trustees held their regular meeting on February 14, 2018 at the Village Hall. Present were: President Carol Areseneau, Treasurer: Myles Reck Trustees: Ronda Breeden, Cathy Tittle, Jon Boone, Joyce Gharst, Patricia Allen and Village attorney Dale Strough. Meeting called to order at 7pm, all spoke the Pledge of Allegiance. Absent Richard Manzke
Minute: Ronda motion to approve January meeting minutes and waive reading on minutes and executive minutes with correction approved and waive reading. 2nd by Jon, all aye
ERH: verified work report. Sink hole at Carols being addressed

Sanitation District: Carol went to court and a trustee not there and postponed till April. Dale advised the Court did approve the dissolution in theory and authorized to proceed $7435.26.
No building permits
Wise/ Ecker property situation is closed
Clerk, Treasurer, Trustees: No old business
Lawyer: Closed on 207 E Washington property purchase and will be used for new Water tower
Dilapidated buildings: Genzels: Carol signed complaint and summons issued.
Seddlemeyer: on file summons issued and trying to locate tax purchaser

Semis: now getting semis from out of town, someone from Buckley now parking there
Dan Sawyers have interested purchaser that is an over the road driver and inquire about parking in alley.
Jon verified if lived in town that we have parking across road vs parking at house. Pat verified parking at alley is narrow. Verified that right away with water lines and tiles and cause problems. Carol verified parking up town not at property. Ronda agrees parking up town to prevent damage. Carol verified that up town is not for Buckley but to be for village, we keep up the property. They need to stay on area that is graveled. Regina suggested power poles to frame area for parking. Carol verified to have new ordinance for parking semis in town. Dale verified ordinance to prohibit parking overnight in residential. Dale prohibit over 5 tons from 8p-6a.
Treasurer: CD to renewal 2/28 $30thousand plus. Ronda motion to roll over cd at Federated Bank, Joyce second, roll call, motion carried
Henry Frueling: ½ off, Myles verified once every 5 yrs for $50.00, did offer payment arrangements but was declined. Jon Verified that minimum is $30. Jon motion to have him pay minimum is $30.00. 2nd Cathy all approve
Elsie Komnick $1990 for ½ off. Jon motion to approve ½ off on water bill. 2nd Cathy, motion carried Carol verified JR has checked the property and meter.
Joyce: solicitors in town, Carol verified we do have ordinance to register and contact village. We will send letter. Need sign for village
Bills: Ronda motion to pay 2nd Joyce, roll call, all ayes. Motion carried
Public:
Linda Bogard- Linda stated has been paying upkeep on property where the semis park. Concern also with meter at Jerry is still not fixed, Carol verified will check with ERH. Carol verified upkeep on semi parking and main concern with mowing in ruts.
Paula: signs in village for no solicitors for town unless registered. Carol verified we passed ordinance that were to have signs and will check into order.
Paula for the Sanitation District money will be earmarked for used with sanitary district act and was told that if we have effluent getting into our grey water then would be appropriate for funds. If we have tile work that needs to be applied to it. Pat verified for drainage. Carol verified with Myles will be marked for Drainage and separate from other funds.
Ronda verified with Paula about doing the town wide garage sales and she is thinking about it.
Sandy: Ronda aware and concerns about first Thursday of month with semi stuck and the loud noises from the Semi all night and early morning hours. There was a telephone pole knocked down and not replaced. Concerns with 4-wheeler tearing around neighborhood and other residence properties. Blue four-wheeler, wearing helmet believe from northwest side of town.
General discussion with Golf Carts license and inspection. Carol verified that if they live in Village and pay taxes and if they are stopped by police, then the police ask Carol if live in Village and says yes, if they don’t have permit then will get picked up by police. Then that responsibility is on them, let them get arrested and pay fines.
Ronda verified with ordinance for golf carts and 4 wheelers. We need to verify the ordinances and not have conflicting. Dale verified the ordinance that he has in book for current requirements and does include 4 wheelers for a certain size. 2013 ordinance
