Village of Loda Board met Jan. 10.

The Village of Loda Board of Trustees held their regular meeting on January 10, 2018,2018 at the Village Hall. Present were: President Carol Areseneau, Treasurer: Myles Reck Trustees: Ronda Breeden, Cathy Tittle, Jon Boone, Richard Manzke, Joyce Gharst, Patricia Allen and Village attorney Dale Strough. Meeting called to order at 7pm, all spoke the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minute: December 2017 meeting minutes approved and waive reading on minutes Ronda, Jon 2nd, all aye
ERH: Terry Hendricks wants to change to pit. Myles verify options with turn offs when cold, Carol said to verify with ERH to determine opening pits
Water Tower- We have been approved and now waiting more information
Sanitary District: Ordinance approving intergovernmental agreement dissolve 2018-03 Sanitary has already filed to dissolve. Carol verified to increase funds for around $3,000. Dale verified agreement and what covers with dissolving that comes back on the Village. Carol verified in ordinance for transfer of Residue, Article 2 for $7435.56. Dale verifying to make sure this is the final agreement. Verified court date is 2/7 9:30a. Neiman called Martensen to verify current agreement is correct and dollar number should be correct. Bayles Lake has agreed to this and if we are agreeable then will go to court and complete. If any dispute, then the court solve dispute. Dale verified we don’t have to hold action per the amount.
Ronda motion to approve 2018-03 2nd Jon, roll call, all ayes, motion carried
Recyclers Cham Co- rezoning property 2018-02 Dale verified previous discussion and went over ordinance. Dale verified with Neiman for concerns of people objecting from first meeting. Neiman verified just to send courtesy copies of petition. Dale did send courtesy copy of ordinance and proper publications and they have not been present at meetings.
Ronda motion to approve 2018-02, 2nd Jon roll call ayes, motion carried
Old:
Jon talk with fire department and burning house; yes they can and need to get permits and inspections.
Does cost for permits and if village willing to cover costs of permits. Jon verified couple hundred for permits which is less then us to remove. There are other checks with EPA and if historical. Will still have to clean up ruble, potential for in future properties. Genzels would be an option to burn depending on inspections and permits. Every house is separate inspections. Verify option if Village helps cover cost with permits.
Lawyer: sexual harassment ordinance, state legislature enacted new law all local governments to adopt o on sexual harassment ordinance 2018-04
Jon motion to pass ordinance 2018-04 2nd Ronda roll call all ayes motion carried
Properties: signed complaint to file against Sedelmeyer trailer. Genzel working on complaint for next meeting. Coe on foreclosing lien. No contact back from Genzel properties heirs for notice to abate. Will try again with service of complaint
Acquisition of real estate for Manzke property 2018-01 discussion with board and the demolition of the house. Verified Manzke will abstain from vote

Treasure- Myles out of town 1/23-1/26 and we do have a backup snow plower to advised Rick Gooden
Clerk- Loda Big Mart renewing gaming license, currently 5 games. Carol verified doesn’t need to do new permit
Treasurer: CD to renew, Ronda motion to roll over cd at Federated bank. 2nd Jon, roll call motion carried.

Motion to go to executive for Jake/Wise Ecker property pending litigation. Ronda motion, Pat 2nd
Public spoke before going to executive:
Linda advised Jerry wants to zone lots 3 & 4 lots and how to proceed
Roy verified if grant will be covering the demolition of the house for the water tower. Carol will verify with Tom

Public:
Paula- clear on amounts for Sanitary district and verified that board is clear. Dale verified with Paula that the amount is correct for $7000 and willing to stick by that according to attorney. Paula asked if ever did town wide garage sales, Carol verified that Sherry did one a few years ago and went ok but not best. Try to do with Bayles Lake for spring and fall. Paula thinking about setting up. Sandy said would help.
Richard thank Myles for plowing and way it was done on their street. Carol verified that gravel is not being pushed and blade lifted.
