Pilot Township Fire Protection District responded to 37 calls in 2017 - 2.8 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Pilot included 26 fires - 10 structure fires, three vehicle fires and 13 other fires.

In all, the department saw $418,000 in fire loss - or about $16,077 per fire.

The department also received 11 false calls.

The Pilot Township Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $368,281 in 2017.
