City of Kankakee issued the following announcement on Oct. 3.
The CN Railroad crossing at Jeffrey Street will be closed for crossing upgrades / improvements starting Monday, October 8th through Monday, October 15th. Please follow the detour routes as needed and proceed with caution in this area.
