Bradley state House candidate Lisa Dugan received another $172,654 from Illinois House Speaker and Democrat Party Chief Michael Madigan (D-Chicago) between Sept. 29 and Oct. 17, state filings show.

The Madigan funding was disclosed in reports filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE) by Friends of Lisa Dugan, the campaign committee that supports Dugan’s race against Republican Lindsay Parkhurst in the 79th District.

The district covers all or part of Peotone, Coal City, Braidwood, Gardner, East Brooklyn, Bourbonnais, Bonfield, Limestone, Reddick, Union Hill, Kankakee, Sun River Terrace, Aroma Park, Hopkins Park, Buckingham, Herscher, Cabery, Irwin, Chebanse and St. Anne.

Madigan’s contributions to Dugan came from the campaign funds he controls, including his own committee, Friends of Michael J. Madigan, the Illinois Democratic Party and the Democratic County Chairman’s Association of Illinois. In all, Madigan has contributed $446,220 to the candidate’s campaign.

From Sept. 29 to Oct. 17,  Madigan spent $4.37 million backing campaigns for 25 candidates.
