Boubonnais Township Park District Board met Oct. 22.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The October 22, 2018 Board of Commissioners Meeting was called to order by President Delabre at 5:32 pm with the following people present:

Commissioners Present: Kim Bennett, Clark Gregoire, Anthony Settle and Wayne Delabre. Brian Hebert arrived at 5:40 pm.

Appointees Present: Brian Scott, Hollice Clark and Dan Borschnack

Staff Present: Paula Rogers, Joe Galloy, Rhonda Olechowski, and Amanda Langlois Visitors Present: Bill Hengl

Hollice introduced the two new employees, Joe Galloy and Rhonda Olechowski.

Staff Reports:

Executive Director: – Hollice Clark submitted his monthly Executive Director Report (filed with the October 22, 2018 Board Packet) He stated Sleepy Hollow went well even though the weather wasn’t the best. The playground construction is underway. The Make a Difference Building may come available to the park district to either rent or purchase. Bradley School District will be in contact this week. Clark also stated that he attended a conference at Rosemount that ComEd put on, by attending this conference, the park district will be eligible for a 20% discount when we upgrade to LED.

Finance & Personnel – Paula did not hand out any new financials because of the time she has spent preparing for Sleepy Hollow and working with the auditors. The audit will be wrapping up soon. She did hand out a cash balance sheet and a Finance and Personnel Report which will be filed with the minutes of October 22, 2018.

Exploration Station – Brittaney Beck submitted a monthly Exploration Station Report and it has been filed with the October 22, 2018 Board Packet.

Recreation – Sarah Winkel was absent but submitted a monthly Recreation Department Report. This report has been filed with the October 22, 2018 Board Packet.

Diamond Point – Mike Crews was absent but submitted his monthly Diamond Point Park Report. This report has been filed with the October 22, 2018 Board Packet.

Parks & Grounds – Hollice Clark gave a brief explanation of his time as the parks and ground interim.

Ad Hoc Committee Reports:

Special Recreation: September 18, 2018 minutes were handed out at the meeting and will be filed with the minutes for October 22, 2018.

Living History: no minutes were submitted.

Consent Agenda:

A motion was made by Settle to approve the consent agenda. Seconded by Gregoire.

Roll call: Bennett –Aye, Gregoire -Aye, Hebert – No, Settle-Aye; Delabre-Aye. Motion carried. - Approval of minutes for Regular Board Meeting- September 24, 2018

-Approval of minutes for Committee of the Whole- October 16, 2018

- Approval of bills

Unfinished Business: N/A

New Business:

A motion was made by Gregoire, seconded by Settle, to appoint Hollice Clark as the IAPD delegate for the Conference on January 26, 2019. Roll call: Bennett -Aye, Gregoire -Aye, Hebert – Aye, Settle-Aye; Delabre-Aye. All in favor. Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn at 5:45 pm made by Bennett, seconded by Gregoire. All in favor, Motion carried.
