City of Kankakee issued the following announcement on Jan. 5.
On Friday, January 11th the Blue Campaign, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) efforts to combat human trafficking, is calling everyone to show their commitment to fighting human trafficking by wearing a blue outfit, accessory, and/or makeup. Be sure to take photos and share on #WearBlueDay. The City of Kankakee encourages residents to participate in raising awareness and educating each other on the realities of this crime.
