Report: Iroquois County spent $10,301 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Iroquois County Community Unit School District 9 is up 2.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Iroquois County school district spent $10,011 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,301 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1165 to 1009.

Iroquois County's spending in 2017-18 was 22.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
