KANKAKEE COUNTY SHERIFF: Congratulations to Sergeant Doug Barwegen on his retirement!

Retirement happy 1000x667

Kankakee County Sheriff issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.

"Congratulations to Sergeant Doug Barwegen on his retirement! Sgt. Barwegen worked tirelessly for the citizens of Kankakee County for the last 26 years. Prior to being hired on in 1993, Doug worked for the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office and was assigned to KAMEG. Sgt. Barwegen spent a great deal of his career in the Investigations Bureau, including a stint in the Major Crimes Task Force and in Information Services. His demand for perfection and his attention to detail resulted in his administering our evidence collection for years. Doug ended his career as a supervisor on the afternoon shift. We will greatly miss Sergeant Barwegen, and his terrific sense of humor. On behalf of the Kankakee County community, I thank you for your years of service and dedication. We wish you, and your family, the very best in your retirement!"
