Iroquois County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Dec. 16.
The Iroquois County Sheriff's Office has announced that as a result of the homicide investigations on December 13th and 14th, a warrant has been issued for Matthew W. Borden, age 43 of Melvin, Illinois. Matthew Borden is charged with two counts of First Degree Murder. Borden is also wanted by the United States Marshals Service for a probation violation. Throughout both homicide investigations, Borden was identified as a person of interest. Bond was set at $2,000,000. At this time, Borden is not in custody and his whereabouts are unknown. The investigation are ongoing.
