City of Kankakee issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.
On 12.17.19 at about 7:40 PM, officers located a 15-year-old juvenile suspect for the shooting of an individual that occurred on the 400 block of S. Osborn on 12.3.19. While patrolling the area, officers observed an occupied parked vehicle on the 400 block of S. Lincoln. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officers recognized the suspect and took him int o custody without incident. He is currently in custody and awaiting his detention hearing.
