RIVERSIDE HEALTH CARE: 2020 Heart Ball Rescheduled

Announcement

Riverside Health Care issued the following announcement on March 13.

Riverside Healthcare’s first priority is to care for the health of our community. As such, we are fully engaged in the changing landscape of Coronavirus or COVID-19. Simultaneously we have been putting the final touches on the Riverside Heart Ball scheduled for March 21.

Sadly, to go forward with our current event date as planned could put our 1,200 attendees at risk during this outbreak. In addition, the Governor of Illinois has mandated that gatherings of 1,000 and more are to be canceled or postponed. We wish we could go forward as planned to honor the generosity demonstrated in sponsorship and tickets in all forms that have made the Heart Ball a record event already.

We have decided that the best course of action is to reschedule the Heart Ball to September 26, 2020 in the same location. We recognize that this will pose logistic challenges for all involved, but we believe it is the best balance to keep the beauty and brilliance of the event, without taking on undue risk for our valued donors and guests.

On behalf of our President & CEO Phil Kambic, our Board of Directors, and our Heart Ball Committee, I thank you for your graciousness in understanding this extraordinary change in this extraordinary time.

Matt McBurnie

Vice President of Institutional Advancement
