Analysis: Watseka pays $4.28 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Watseka Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.1 percent of the $302,783 the Watseka Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.28 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Watseka contributed $245,531 to the fund, which saw a $295,152 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $57,252, or 18.9 percent, in 2018.
