Analysis: Bourbonnais pays $1.78 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bourbonnais Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 64 percent of the $1,035,007 the Bourbonnais Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $1.78 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bourbonnais contributed $662,728 to the fund, which saw a $59,152 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $370,862, or 35.8 percent, in 2018. Another $1,417 came from other unspecified sources.
