Analysis: Bourbonnais pays $6.18 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bourbonnais FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.8 percent of the $450,102 the Bourbonnais FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $6.18 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bourbonnais contributed $386,138 to the fund, which saw a $260,262 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $62,443, or 13.9 percent, in 2018. Another $1,521 came from other unspecified sources.
