O'Tto Township Fire Protection District responded to 28 calls in 2018 - 21.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Otto included 16 fires - four structure fires, three vehicle fires and nine other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $146,050 in fire loss - or about $9,128 per fire.

The department also received 11 false calls.

The O'Tto Township Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $225,271 in 2018.
