Danforth Township Fire Protection District responded to 16 calls in 2018 - 77.8 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Danforth included 15 fires - nine structure fires, two vehicle fires and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $300,000 in fire loss - or about $20,000 per fire.

The department also received one false call, including one malicious call.

The Danforth Township Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $99,093 in 2018.
