City of Momence City Council Public Works Committee met Sept. 8.

The Public Works Committee meeting was held in the Council Chambers at 29 North Dixie Highway, Momence.
Present: Chairman Alderman Metz, also present Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Cook, Cope, Temple and Rehmer. Also, present Mayor Steele. Alderman Salomone absent.
Discussed water/sewer rates. 3 possible options for residential/commercial.
Next meeting make sure all information is on print, want to have in place by October 1.
Alderman Metz requested to move into closed session at 6:55 P.M.
Discussed hiring a new employee, college graduate and is willing to continue education. He can start ASAP, starting rate $15.00/hr. Vote will occur during council meeting.
Returned from closed session at 7:04 P.M, meeting adjourned.
