Healthcare is to take care of its patients, apparently the healthcare provider also does an outstanding job of taking care of its employees as well. Riverside was recently named Illinois’ Healthiest Employer by Crain’s Content Studio, a division of Crain’s Chicago Business.
Cigna’s Midwest Market President Brian Marsella, who presented the awards during a virtual webcast program, noted the highly unusual circumstances of this year’s competition and the importance to build worker resilience in the wake of the pandemic. “Focusing on the whole person—body and mind—is essential,” he said.

Illinois’ Healthiest Employer Awards is a corporate wellness program that encourages healthier lifestyles through biometric, fitness, nutrition and other health-related educational advice that emphasize preventing illness and prolonging life. Over 8,000 employers of all sizes participate in the program.
