City of Momence City Council Met Nov. 2.

The City Council Meeting of the City of Momence was held in the Council Chambers at 29 N. Dixie Highway, Momence. Alderman Cook called the meeting to order.
ROLL CALL
Roll was called by the Clerk with Aldermen Salomone, Metz, Clark, Cook, Temple, Rehmer and Cope. Alderman Carbonaro absent.
APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
Alderman Metz made motion to approve the minutes of the, October 19, 2020 council meeting. Alderman Temple seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes. Alderman Carbonaro passed
APPROVAL OF THE BILLS
The bills were discussed during committee meeting. Alderman Salomone made motion to approve the bills for payment. Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.
CITIZENS FORUM – Tony Lampley – December 12 request closure of Washington Street from alley to Locust Street for vendor fair. Alderman Cook made motion to approve, Alderman Cope seconded the motion with Alderman Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Cope, Cook, Temple and Rehmer voting yes.
Steve Gross – Request moving Heritage Day to the 3rd weekend in June to align with Father’s Day. Alderman Salomone made motion to approve, Alderman Cook seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Cope, Cook, Temple and Rehmer voting yes.
OLD BUSINESS – Alderman Salomone – trying to find a contact for IDOT
Working with Olivet on an intern for the Spring semester, working through the needs, no cost to the city…updates to come.
ALDERMANIC REPORTS – Alderman Salomone – BF meeting 11/16 at 7:15 PM
Alderman Metz – Baxter and Woodman presented info on water/sewer rates. This will be put on the agenda for the next meeting for more info.
Alderman Cope – inquired about citations being issues for 310 River Street issued for garbage. Chief indicated that several citations were issued.
Treasurer report – Auditors working on audit. $27000.00 bond payment due 11/27/20 Department Heads –
MAYORAL REPORT – George Ryan Insurance – next meeting to vote, premiums went down
Alderman Metz made motion to adjourn, Alderman Salomone seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Cope, Cook, Temple and Rehmer voting yes.
