Village of Chebanse Village Board Met Dec. 21.

Mayor Mathy called the regular Village Board meeting to order at 7:00 pm and announced that Kathy Washington from the Advocate would be taking notes and the Village would be taping.
The following Trustees were present: Trustee Odle, Trustee Perzee, Trustee Randles and Trustee Snyder. Trustee Beherns and Trustee Kohler were absent. Also present were Mayor Mathy, Attorney Hiatt, James Smith from Maintenance and Clerk Pasel.

APPROVAL OF REGULAR BOARE MEETING MINUTES: A motion by Trustee Perzee and a second by Trustee Odle to approve the November 16, 2020 Board meeting minutes. Vote:

REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS: James reported that he has changed out about 70 meters out of about 200 that need changed. They were all put in at the same time so they are all starting to go out at the same time. James stated that the meters last 11 years. We should start putting money away for new meters. The cost is $80,000.00. There are new meters out for $179.00 each as an option. They shoot a signal out Monday thru Friday from 8 to 9 pm and not on the weekends. Our meters now send out a signal every 11 seconds. Mayor Mathy stated to contact Adam and see if he wants to call a meeting to make up a plan.
NEW BUSINESS
MFT RESOULTION: A motion was made by Trustee Snyder and a second by Trustee Perzee to pass the Amended MFT Resolution for snow plowing under the Illinois Highway Code, from January 1, thru April 30. Vote:

COMMUNICATIONS: Mayor Mathy informed the Board of the Thank You cards from the FOP 150 for the Shop with a Cop, Boy Scout troop 158 thanking us for the help with the pork chop supper. A thank you from Darrin thanking us for the support, for everyone to read.
Mayor Mathy stated we have a nice letter from Randy O’Connor about James fixing the water issues he had.
PUBLIC COMMENT: James informed everyone that the James Smith Christmas Spectacular went very well. Everything was done safe. A little people than normal but it still went over very well. The leftover goodies went to Gillman Nursing Home. There was $183.00 in the donation jar. There was also a $175.00 donation.
