City of Momence City Council met March 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

ROLL CALL 

Roll was called by the Clerk with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz. Clark, Cope, Temple and Rehmer. Alderman Cook was absent. 

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES 

Alderman Salomone made motion to approve the minutes of the, February 18, 2021, council  meeting. Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Temple and Cope voting yes. Alderman Carbonaro passed.  

APPROVAL OF THE BILLS 

The bills were discussed during committee meeting. Alderman Salomone made  motion to approve the bills for payment. Alderman Metz seconded the motion with Aldermen  Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Temple and Cope voting yes.  

OLD BUSINESS – Alderman Salomone - Olivet Students meeting on Wednesday. They are working  through packets, goal is 5, hoping for a meeting in April.  

Alderman Rehmer – charger is now in service, nice addition, was acquired on forfeiture.  : 

ALDERMANIC REPORTS – Alderman Salomone – Budget and Finance

Alderman Cope – Ordinance Committee met tonight to discuss social media policy, will discuss  again at next meeting.  

Treasurer report – 

Department Heads –

MAYORAL REPORT – water bills were estimated for February due to weather. The estimation was based on 5 months x 90%. This should be very close to the actual read.  

Congratulations to Jake for his work on the Census. 

Alderman Salomone made motion to adjourn, Alderman Metz seconded with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz,  Clark, Cope, Temple and Rehmer voting yes
