City of Gilman City Council met Jan. 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The regular meeting of the city council was called to order by Mayor Theesfeld. Council responding to roll call were: Bachman aye, Elliott aye, Fancher aye, Eimen aye, McGehee aye, and Kraft aye. Clerk Kraft and Treasurer Morris were also present.

Moved by McGehee

Seconded by Fancher

to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on December 13, 2021. All aye.

Moved by Elliott

Seconded by Bachman

to approve the transfer of $15,000.00 from the general fund to the road & bridge fund. All aye.

Moved by Kraft

Seconded by McGehee

to set the monthly meetings for 2022 on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. All aye.

Moved by McGehee

Seconded by Bachman

to approve the final payment of $104,911.39 to Iroquois Paving Corporation for the North Central Water Main Replacement Project.

Mayor Theesfeld advised that the EPA will give the city time to plan for the new sewer plant. Neil Piggush will help get the EPA loan and plans for the new sewer project.

Alderman Bachman had nothing to discuss.

Alderman Elliott had nothing to discuss.

Alderman Fancher let the council know that the city truck that is used for spreading salt was fixed by K & H Truck Plaza.

Alderman Eimen had nothing to discuss.

Alderman McGehee had nothing to discuss.

Alderman Kraft had nothing to discuss.

to approve the bills as they were presented and to approve the Balance Sheet, and Profit and Loss Statement dated January 10, 2022 as presented. All aye.

Seconded by Kraft

to adjourn the regular meeting at 7:09 p.m. All aye.
