City of Watseka Code Enforcement Committee met Feb. 8.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

4. Eric Brandt Report

a) DNR Mitigation Grant

b) Façade Grant

c) Sign Ordinance

d) Electric Services

e) Permit Fees

5. Bill Stanley Report

a) Crime Free Rental: final meeting 1/31, a lot of positive feedback, Eric has completed several inspections, attendance was low overall but applications are being returned, will start sending out letters to those who didn’t attend and will probably have to have a couple of more meeting for the people that are gone for the winter

b) 534 E Walnut: turned over to the city Attorney Joe Cainkar

c) 513 E Oak St: pending court date after that it will be turned over to Attorney Cainkar

d) Junk Vehicles: 7 citations issued in December, 3 of these had more than 1 vehicle, all vehicles were removed prior to court

e) 208 N 2nd St: back yard is filled up again and its moving to the front yard, owner showed up to court but his attorney didn’t so it has been continued until February 24, another citation has been issued to the owner
