As part of her ongoing efforts to recognize local businesses in the Kankakee area, Rep. Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) visited Stefari Cafe recently and announced it as the focus for her office's business spotlight.
"Stefari Cafe is so much more than a good coffee shop – they are a fantastic addition to the community in Kankakee and a delight to have here," Haas wrote on her website. "It's always special to see small businesses succeed and this one has such a great family story. I am pleased to have this business be a part of the larger 79th District and encourage our local residents to stop by and see it for themselves!"
To be eligible for the monthly business spotlight, one must first be nominated. This can be done by visiting Haas' website.
Owners Stefan and Ari Frunze started Stefari Cafe in 2017. The couple had a "shared dream to create an open-minded, community-forward space. Inspired by a simple and sweet European lifestyle."
The cafe is open Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They serve a variety of breakfast and lunch options, like an egg and cheddar sandwich, a variety of toasts, salads, and paninis.
