Roll Call was taken: All present except Bruni, and Raloff Bruni arriving at 7:10PM
*Motion to approve minutes from previous 6/6/22 meeting

Public Comments: Rich Loitz asked to speak, concerning, what he believes is a lot of speeders on Rt1 Hwy near his home, asking for better police patrol, or a speed indicator sign in the area
*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: <6/16/22 General Fund $15,846.49, MFT $715.52 <6/11/22 Payroll $16,224.11 <6/13/22 Stipend $850.00

Departmental Reports:
Clerk Dillman: Love’s gaming license…tabled
Streets & Alleys, Coats: reported the generators were sold $2500, 10 area of streets were spray patched, Nicor and Com Ed doing work in town, Poison Hemlock has been found in the town, attempting to rid of it, summer help has been put to work, when needed, heard a request for a “no u turn sign” by the post office, conversation held concerning weed growth on the Pepin property, conversation on the missing money from the County taxes, concerning road tax, will be posting signs in the alleys soon
Finance, Morgan: Discussion was held, concerning the prospect of purchasing the Gilliam building on Main & Taylor, for purposes of a Village Hall; vote to be carried later in the meeting
Sewer & Garbage, Danahey: discussion on the flooding on N Main St
Building & Grounds, Bruni: Fest Meeting 6/28/22 6PM Community Center
Ordinance & Insurance, Raloff: absent

Pres. Hawkins: Discussion held concerning tree removal on Village properties
More discussion held on the purchase of the Main/Taylor property, questions raised on condition of the building, areas of use, storage, offices, and a few more. Several members of the Board toured the building, and felt in its current condition, would fulfill our needs well, as well as our citizens, with the additional space. Thoughts now, are to give the existing Village Hall to the Historical Society to use. Current asking price will be $195,000, but Pres. Hawkins feels Mr. Gilliam will give the Village a lower price, possibly $175,000.
*Motion to pursue the purchase of the building at 101 W. Taylor St at a price not to exceed $195,000, and to be self-funded
