Kankakee Times

There were six offenders living in Iroquois County released on parole during the third quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Kankakee Times.

The data shows all of the released offenders in Iroquois County were men. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2021, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2015.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Pellegrini R. Kenton. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2015 when he was 45 years old. He is now 52.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
