Mayor Nugent opened the meeting at 7:44 a.m.

MOTION: A motion by Trustee Phillips, second by Trustee Boyce to approve the minutes from May 30, 2023 meeting. Voice vote – all ayes, no nays. Motion approved.

There was no public participation.

There were no action items.

Discussion Items:

• Monthly Recap – Mr. Marion gave a recap of active new construction, permits issued, inspections, sidewalk inspections and contractor registrations for May 2023. (See attached)

• Sycamore/9000 N Rd Camera Project – Mr. Marion presented a proposal to add cameras to the corner of Sycamore and 9000 N Rd. Mr. Marion will get pricing for the project.

• Camera Systems Recap – There are currently 214 cameras that the village can use for security purposes. There are 178 residential cameras that have given the village permission to have access to in the event of a situation.

• Misc.: Gov. Pritzker has signed a new bill that takes effect on 1/1/2024 that will require new single family homes to install equipment for EV chargers. The village attorney will be contacted to see if the village can exempt out of the new requirement.

A motion by Trustee Boyce, seconded by Trustee Dole, to adjourn the meeting at 7:59 a.m. Voice vote: all ayes, no nays. Motion approved.
