There was a single gas station in cities across Kankakee County selling diesel at the price of $3.79 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 24, according to GasBuddy.com.

Of the eight gas stations in cities within Kankakee County, just one offers diesel.

The $4.07 average price of diesel in Illinois was unchanged from the previous week.

Gas prices in the U.S. have fluctuated greatly in recent times and many drivers are feeling the pain at the pump.

The cost of rising gas prices is made tougher on average U.S. families by rising inflation. Families had to pay nearly 3.5% more for average goods and food they needed.
