Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees met March 18.

Roll Call was taken, all members present

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 3/04/24 meeting

        Motion: Morgan        2nd: Bruni          Motion Carried 5-0-1     Wiedl abstaining

Public comments: no comments         Pres. Hawkins asked for a moment of silence for the several area residents that passed away recently

*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: <3/14/24 General Fund $17,195.91, Rebuild Illinois Fund $20,000.00, Fest Fund $70.00, AM Rescue Plan/ SLFRF $1,355.00, TIF Fund $42,793.12, Payroll, 3/02/24 $19,364.85, Stipend $3,000.00

Departmental reports:

Clerk Dillman: Election tomorrow, vote

Attorney: no report

Engineer: Esson Farm Road sidewalk project, progressing

Ordinance & Insurance: no report

Streets & Alleys, Passini: gave a report of a sink hole on Park Lane Drive, cleaning of catch basins, branch pick up to begin April 1st

*Motion to pass Resolution R-3-24-1 for maintenance under the Illinois Highway code, FYE 2022 change from MFT audit

*Motion to approve participation in State salt contract

Finance, Morgan: gave a review of current budget, and to begin working on next budget soon

Community Outreach, Detloff: spoke of new guidelines from Health Department, Gave a quick review from the Cabin Fever Reliever P&L

*Motion to approve purchase of chairs, tables, and racks not to exceed $3000 for the Park, from Fest Funds when they become available

        Motion: Detloff        2nd: Bruni         Motion Carried 6-0-0

Building & Grounds, Bruni: recently reported Village Hall Water Heater not working, to be checked

Also getting roof repair estimates for Village Hall, and Police Station

Law Enforcement, Whorrall: working on code enforcement for West Taylor property

Pres Hawkins: Easter egg hunt 3/24/24 11-1PM Community Park
