Village of Clifton Board of Trustees met May 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Call to Order 4:30 P.M. 

Vote to approve John Tammen to attend a meeting remotely. Lesa Lukow Village Clerk discussed that she had emails from the Village attorney Gary Perlman that a vote was to take place before he would attend.

ERH presentation by John McBride – presentation given and questions answered

Jeff Hall made a motion not to exceed $267,000.00 for upgrades to the sewer plant by ERH. Cathy Dundas seconded the motion.

o Motion Passes 

Jeff Hall made a motion to approve the ERH contract for 3 years, not to exceed $125,000.00 per year. Discussed the contract would start June 19, 2024. Cathy Dundas seconded motion.

o Motion Passes 

Sue Schafroth made a motion to pass the 2024-2025 budget upon attorney approval. Jeff Hall seconded the motion. 

● Motion passes 6-0 

Discussed training schedule and timeline for new personnel. Sue discussed she would like the trustees to look at the packet given to them, with the job description for maintenance. Advised to pick 5 jobs that they felt most important, the June 10 meeting will discuss the top 5 jobs most important for the new person to be trained on. 

Sue Schafroth made a motion to pass employee raises Connie James, and Tracy Gigl $1.00 per hour, Jim Lehmkuhl, Joe LaCost, and Kellie Holohan 3.5% Jeff Hall seconded the motion.

o Motion Passes 6-0 

Sue Schafroth made a motion to no longer estimate summer water rates. Cathy Dunas seconded the motion.

Village President 

● Paul Hess made a motion to approve pool party pass down payment to $50.00 from previous $25.00 Jeff seconded the motion. 

o Motion passes 6-0 

● Motions will be discussed on June 10, village board meeting, with a committee meeting before. 

o Motion not to exceed $9,000.00 for Main Street curb patching. Jeff Hall discussed that there needs to be a committee meeting first before this motion goes through. 

● Motions will be discussed June 10, with a committee meeting before o Motion not to exceed $2,500.00 for tree removal on Wilson Ave- Jeff discussed that needs to go to a committee meeting first. Jeff Hall discussed that there needs to be a committee meeting first before this motion goes through. 

Jeff Hall made a motion to adjourn 5:33 p.m. Tim Goodrich seconded the motion.
