Village of Bourbonnais Finance Committee met Aug. 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Meeting Opening

Meeting called to order at 4:00 PM by Trustee Rick Fischer

Procedural: A. Roll Call - Trustee Rick Fischer

Members present: Mayor Paul Schore, Trustee Bruce Greenlee, Trustee Rick Fischer, Trustee Randy King, Trustee Jeff Keast, and Trustee Jack Littrell. Also in attendance, Treasurer Ron Riebe, Attorney Patrick Dunn, Administrator Michael Van Mill, Asst. Administrator Laurie Cyr, Finance Director Tara Latz, Chief Jim Phelps, Public Works Superintendent Terry Memenga, Public Works Asst. Superintendent Frank Triveline, Asst. Finance Director Holly St. Germaine, and Admin Assistant Margie Beach. Absent: Trustee Angie Serafini

2. Review and Approve Committee Minutes

Action, Minutes: A. Finance Committee Minutes from August 14, 2024

Motion by Trustee Jeff Keast, second by Trustee Bruce Greenlee to approve the Finance Committee minutes from August 14, 2024, as presented.

Final Resolution: Motion Carried

Aye: Trustee Bruce Greenlee, Trustee Rick Fischer, Trustee Randy King, Trustee Jeff Keast, and Trustee Jack Littrell

3. Bill Lists

Accounts Payable: A. General Fund

> Questions were discussed and answered by Finance Director Tara Latz regarding the bill list.

The General fund bill list was reviewed and the Finance Committee agreed to proceed with payment of the bills at the next Regular Board meeting on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Accounts Payable: B. Special Fund

The Special fund bill list was reviewed and the Finance Committee agreed to proceed with payment of the bills at the next Regular Board meeting on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

4. Other Business

Discussion: A. ARPA Update

> Mrs. Latz gave an update on ARPA funds. There is approximately $127,000 balance that it is unallocated, we will need to have the balance allocated by December 31, 2024, but do not have to expend all of the funds until 2026 (on Board Docs).

> Provided and explained a proposal from Ruder Electric for the upgrade to ADA front doors at the Admin building. This quote is to add swipe card entrance for the main and small entrance doors at a cost of $6,641 for this addition to the remodeling project (on Board Docs).

Finance Committee agrees to move forward using ARPA funds to add swipe card entrance for the two entrance doors at the Admin building.

Discussion: B. Rotary Club of Bradley Bourbonnais Donation Request

> Mrs. Latz explained we received an annual donation request from Rotary Club of Bradley Bourbonnais. Finance Committee declines this donation request at this time.

5. Old Business

Discussion: A. Red Gala Sponsorship Request

> Discussion was had about the Red Gala buying a table for this event on Saturday, September 21, 2024 and it was suggested to send out the invitation to department heads to see who can attend, since Mayor and the Trustees will be up at the IML Conference.

Discussion: B. Marcotte Park Fence Update

> Finance Committee tabled this discussion.

Other:

> Police Department Student Resource Officer will sponsor a booth at the Bourbonnais Elementary PTA Fall Fest in October.

> Kankakee County River Gauge project is still on hold at this time Mayor Schore explained.

Action, Procedural: A. Adjournment & Time

Motion by Trustee Jack Littrell, second by Trustee Randy King to adjourn the Finance Meeting at 4:15 PM. Final Resolution: Motion Carried
