State Representative Jackie Haas has recognized LoveALatte Coffee in Bradley as the October 2024 local business spotlight. Rep. Haas toured the establishment and presented a certificate of appreciation to its directors for their community contributions.

“For my September 2024 local business spotlight, I am honored to recognize LoveALatte Coffee in Bradley,” stated Rep. Haas. “This highlight is unique because LoveALatte is a non-profit job training hub for adults with special needs in Kankakee County.”

LoveALatte was founded in 2018 by special education teachers Jennifer Carroll and Lori Grzelak. They aimed to create a space for adults with special needs after high school graduation. Their value statement emphasizes that everyone can learn, work, and be a valuable member of society.

Rep. Haas expressed her pride in having such an organization in the community, noting, “All too often, we see special needs adults who are essentially left to navigate adulthood on their own after decades of guidance and structure provided by our education system. Jennifer and Lori saw the massive gap that exists there and created an opportunity for them to learn job skills, build a support system, and thrive in our community.”

LoveALatte operates on Sundays from 8 AM to 2 PM at its drive-thru location at 970 W. Broadway Street in Bradley. Starting November, they will also open on Saturdays. More information is available on their website at LoveALatteCoffee.com.
