City of Watseka Public Safety Committee met Oct. 8.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

4. Auxiliary Department Report 

   a) Monthly Meeting- 7 of 9 attended, met at Auxiliary Building to winterize the generator, and the boat. Then went to Police Department for further training on traffic control at night using flashlights and hand signals. 

   b) September calls: Big Boy Train for traffic and crowd control. 

   c) Prepared for Harvest Daze 10/4 - 10/6, discussed patrol for Trick or Treat on 10/31

-Station walk through doors are being worked on 

-Annual Flow testing completed on all air packs 

-Annual Pump testing completed 

-Annual ladder truck, and ground ladders tested. 

-A automated CPR device has been purchased. 

5.Miscellaneous: 

-WFD did a pork burger supper with Open house. 

-All School Fire drills completed, they did very well.
