Westmont Village Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met Sept. 25.

Special Meeting Minutes of Wednesday September 25, 2024, Westmont Fire and Police Commission held at 500 N. Cass Avenue Westmont, IL.

Call to Order: Chairperson Stella Qualizza called the special meeting of Wednesday September 25, 2024 to order at 1:00 p.m.

Roll Call: Chairperson Qualizza- Present, Secretary Mulhearn- Present, Commissioner Baldwin- Present A quorum was present

Guests: Deputy Chief (D/C) of Police Brian Gruen

Ongoing Business: The commission along with the assistance of D/C Gruen reviewed all tests and testing scores of the four (4) police officer candidates for a position on the Authorized Sergeants Promotion list which will remain in effect for the next three (3) years from today's date (September 25, 2024)

Discussion ensued among the commission while reviewing the test results. All scores were added and a final score for each candidate was determined. Each candidate was ranked in order based on their final total score. (See the promotional list which was publicly posted and provided to each candidate)

Chairperson Stella Qualizza made a motion to approve the Sergeant's Promotional List as presented:

VOTE: All in Favor= 3

Opposed=0 Motion Carried

The Commission reviewed and discussed the status of candidates currently assigned to the Westmont Police Department Detective Division for background review. The Detectives are still conducting their review and will present their findings when they are finished.

Adjournment: Secretary Mulhearn made a motion to adjourn the meeting, all were in favor.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
