Edward "Ed" L. Powell Jr., 61, of Bourbonnais, died at home on November 4, 2024. He worked as a manufacturing supervisor at American Spring Wire in Kankakee. Powell was a devoted fan of the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears, enjoyed home improvement projects, the outdoors, and his dog. Known for his loyalty to friends and neighbors, he cherished time with his children and grandchildren. Powell was a parishioner at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Bourbonnais. He is survived by two sons, a daughter, three sisters, six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, with the funeral mass on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church, followed by interment at Maternity B.V.M. Cemetery in Bourbonnais. Memorial donations can be made to the family.
