Village of Manteno Board of Trustees met Oct. 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Absent: Trustee Timothy Boyce, Trustee Diane Dole, Trustee Todd Crockett

The meeting was called to order by Village President Timothy Nugent, followed by the Pledge of  Allegiance. We have a quorum with the Mayors vote on actionable items on the agenda.  Roll call of the Board was made by the Village Clerk.  

Motion by Phillips, seconded by Boudreau, to waive the reading of the minutes and approve the regular Board Meeting minutes of October 7, 2024, as presented by the Clerk. 

Motion approved: 4-0 Boyce, Dole, Crockett absent

Reports of Village Officials: 

Village President’s Report: Mayor Nugent  

• Trick or Treat on Main will be this Saturday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm 

• Haunted Trails, sponsored by the Manteno High School Show Choir, will be this Saturday at  Heritage Park from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. This fundraiser will benefit the Show Choir organization.  

• The Village of Manteno trick or treat hours will be 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Halloween, October  31, 2024 

• Jim Hanley gave a report that the tree located at the Square on Second, has been removed. Village Administrator’s Report:

Planning and Zoning- Trustee Crockett- Absent

The next Planning and Zoning Committee meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday October 22, 2024, at  7:00 am at the Village Board Room. The next Planning Commission meeting has been scheduled for  Tuesday November 12, 2024, at 6:00 pm in the Village Board Room.  

Finance- Trustee Gesky 

• Payment of bills $1,244,261.39 (includes TIF #3 bills of $0) 

• Bills authorized and paid between Board Cycle: $0 

The next Finance meeting has been canceled for Wednesday November 13, 2024, at 7:00 am at the  Village Board Room.  

General Government- Trustee Phillips 

Nothing on the agenda tonight  

Motion by Gesky to approve payment of bills in the amount of $1,244,261.39 (TIF #3 - $0). Seconded  by Boudreau. Motion passed 4-0 Boyce, Dole, Crockett absent 

Motion by Gesky to adjourn at 6:24 pm. Seconded by Phillips 

Motion approved 4-0 Boyce, Dole, Crockett absent
