Test expectations: How many students met or exceeded ELA IAR expectations in Central Community Unit School District 4 in 2022-23 school year?

In the 2022-23 school year, 35.1% of the students in Central Community Unit School District 4 passed the ELA portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 399 students in Central Community Unit School District 4 who took the ELA portion of the test, approximately 140 (35.1%) passed.

The percentage of Central Community Unit School District 4 students who met or exceeded expectations on the IAR increased by 10.4% compared to the previous school year.

According to the 2024 Illinois Report Card, math proficiency among Illinois students in grades 3-8 remains below pre-pandemic levels, while reading performance has recovered. Meanwhile, 11th graders have experienced significant declines in both subjects, falling below pre-pandemic benchmarks.
